And the DEE-DEE-DEE award goes to . . .

This kid. I mean, c'mon!

Makes me irritated that a dee-dee-dee is getting this much publicity for being a dee-dee-dee.

Gimp common-sense rule for crossing intersections #1 -- If the vehicle is five times bigger than you and the driver can't see you if you cross in front of him, wait for the next "Walk" after said vehicle passes.

*EDIT*

OK, I've since learned from an old camp friend who lives in the area where this happened that not only does this kid have Duchenne MD, but he also has Down's Syndrome and mild mental disability. So he is no longer the recipient of the DEE-DEE-DEE award -- but I have to give his attendant an honorary DEE-DEE-DEE award for not keeping up with him.

I live an hour away from Grand Rapids so it was posted all over the news this morning. I must admit, it sounds a little fun... all most like a roller coaster ride only without the loops and hills. The first thing I thought when I saw this on the news was "what the heck was this kid doing to cause a truck ride like that? Was he admiring the truck or something?" But what the article failed to mention was that the kid also had down syndrome and mild retardation. That is why I wonder if that quote was actually made by him or if it was made by his father? Because from the news broadcasts there was no way that he could have talked like that.
